Version 0.3 · Last updated 2026-10-25
Summary in plain language
This summary is here to help you read the terms. It does not replace them, and if anything in it seems to conflict with the full terms below, the full terms control.
- Who runs CASIT. CASIT is operated by CASIT Network, a Texas nonprofit corporation.
- Membership is program access. Joining CASIT gives you access to programs and the community. It does not give you membership in the corporation or any voting, governance or ownership rights.
- Payments are not charitable donations. CASIT is not a 501(c)(3). Payments to CASIT are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions.
- Adults only. CASIT’s website forms and programs are for people 18 or older.
- What CASIT is today. A developing professional network. Membership is free today. Some programs described on the site are still being planned.
- No guarantees. Joining or submitting a form does not guarantee acceptance, a mentor, an introduction, a job, business results, funding or event access.
- People you meet are independent. Volunteers, mentors, speakers, sponsors, listed companies and other members are not CASIT’s employees or agents, and CASIT does not endorse them. Any deal you make with them is between you and them.
- Educational content only. Nothing on the site or at CASIT events is legal, financial, tax, investment, cybersecurity or other professional advice.
- Be respectful. No harassment, discrimination, spam, scraping or impersonation. You can report problems to info@casitnetwork.org.
- Your submissions stay private. Form submissions are not published. Only approved directory listings are public.
- Changes. If these terms change in a material way, CASIT will give advance notice and ask for your agreement again where required.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use (“terms”) govern your use of the CASIT website and the forms, programs, events and directory described on it. “CASIT,” “we” and “us” mean the operator described in section 2.
These terms cover four different things, and some sections apply only to some of them:
- Website use: browsing pages on this site.
- Form submissions: membership applications and the other interest, inquiry and contact forms on this site.
- Programs and events: CASIT Connect, CASIT Business, CASIT NextGen, CASIT Launchpad, CASIT Insights webinars and other events, once offered.
- Third-party services: tools and websites run by others, such as the platforms used to host webinars or the websites of listed companies. Their own terms apply to your use of them (section 15).
You agree to these terms when you tick the “I agree to the Terms of Use” box on a form. If you only browse the site, these terms describe the rules for using it.
2. Who operates CASIT
CASIT (Chaldeans, Assyrians & Syriacs in Technology) is operated by CASIT Network, a Texas nonprofit corporation, doing business as CASIT.
- Contact: info@casitnetwork.org
CASIT is not a charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Payments to CASIT are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
3. What CASIT offers now and what is planned
CASIT is in its founding stage. Today, the website lets you:
- apply for free founding membership,
- express interest in mentorship, business assistance, founder support, partnerships or speaking,
- suggest topics for CASIT Insights,
- submit a company for the directory, and
- contact CASIT.
Programs, events, introductions and other services described on the site are being developed. Some may launch later than expected, change, or not launch at all. Membership is free today, and CASIT does not charge for any program today. If CASIT introduces dues or fees, the price and what it includes will be shown before you pay.
CASIT may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the website, a program or an event at any time. Where practical, we will post a notice on the site before doing so.
4. Eligibility: 18 and older
You must be 18 or older to submit a form that asks you to confirm your age, to become a member, or to take part in any CASIT program or event. CASIT NextGen is for adult students and early-career professionals who are 18 or older. CASIT does not offer programs for people under 18.
If we learn that a person under 18 has submitted a form or joined a program, we will remove them from the program and handle their information as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Membership applications and other submissions
Applying. Membership is open to people who are 18 or older, have a professional or student connection to technology or business, and are interested in the Chaldean, Assyrian and Syriac professional community. CASIT reviews each application against these criteria. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
What membership is. CASIT membership is a program membership. It provides access to CASIT’s community, programs and events and does not confer membership in the corporation under Texas law or any voting, governance or ownership rights.
Accurate information. You agree that the information you submit is accurate, is about you (or about an organization you are authorized to represent), and is yours to share.
No sensitive information. Please do not submit government ID numbers, financial account details, health information or other sensitive information. CASIT’s forms do not ask for them.
What happens next. CASIT reviews submissions against the published criteria and may contact you about next steps or offer an introduction. CASIT does not promise a response within any particular time.
6. Conduct
When you use the site, submit a form, or take part in a CASIT program or event, you agree not to:
- harass, threaten, bully, intimidate or demean anyone,
- discriminate against anyone on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other characteristic protected by law,
- send spam, chain messages or unsolicited advertising, or use contact details obtained through CASIT for bulk marketing,
- scrape, harvest or copy information about other people from the site or from CASIT programs,
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity, credentials or affiliation,
- submit anything unlawful, defamatory, misleading or infringing,
- attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorized access to the site or the accounts and systems behind it, or
- use CASIT for any illegal activity.
Reporting a concern. If you experience or see conduct that breaks these rules, email info@casitnetwork.org or use the contact form and choose “Report a concern.” Please include what happened, when and who was involved. CASIT will review reports and may contact you for more information. We will try to keep reports confidential, sharing details only as needed to look into the concern or as required by law.
7. Moderation, suspension and removal
CASIT may decline an application, remove content, end someone’s participation in a program, or remove a directory listing if:
- the person or company does not meet the published eligibility criteria,
- information submitted is inaccurate or misleading,
- the conduct rules in section 6 have been broken, or
- continuing would create a legal, safety or reputational risk to CASIT or its members.
Where practical, and unless a safety or legal concern makes it inappropriate, CASIT will tell the person what the concern is and give them a reasonable chance to respond before making a final decision. You can ask CASIT to review a decision by emailing info@casitnetwork.org.
8. No guarantees of outcomes
CASIT is a volunteer-driven professional network. CASIT does not guarantee any of the following:
- acceptance into membership or a program,
- a mentor, mentee or other match,
- an introduction to any person or company,
- a job, internship, interview, contract, client or other business result,
- the quality, reliability or suitability of any vendor, listed company, volunteer or member,
- funding, investment or a meeting with any investor, or
- access to any event, including a space at an event with limited capacity.
9. Independent people and organizations
Volunteers, mentors, advisors, speakers, sponsors, partners, listed companies and members are independent. They are not CASIT’s employees, agents or representatives, and CASIT does not supervise their work, endorse them, or vouch for what they say or do.
Any agreement you make with another person or organization you meet through CASIT, including paid work, a job, a contract, a partnership or an investment, is solely between you and them. CASIT is not a party to it and is not responsible for it. Use your own judgment and do your own checks before relying on anyone.
10. Educational information only; no professional relationship
Content on this site, in CASIT Insights webinars, at CASIT events, and in mentorship, business-assistance or founder conversations arranged through CASIT is general educational information. It covers topics such as technology, business, finance, law, tax, cybersecurity and investing, but it is not legal, financial, tax, accounting, cybersecurity, investment or other professional advice, and it is not tailored to your situation.
Taking part in CASIT does not create an attorney-client, accountant-client, fiduciary, investment-adviser, broker or other professional relationship with CASIT or with any volunteer or speaker. For advice about your own situation, consult a qualified professional you engage directly.
11. CASIT Launchpad: no securities activity
CASIT Launchpad provides education and, where available, informational introductions for founders. CASIT:
- does not offer, sell, or recommend securities or investments,
- does not act as a broker, dealer, finder, placement agent, investment adviser or funding portal,
- does not take finder’s fees, success fees or any compensation tied to an investment or transaction,
- does not negotiate deals or terms on anyone’s behalf, and
- does not hold, receive or transfer money or securities for anyone.
CASIT does not guarantee any investor introduction, meeting or investment. Founders and investors are responsible for complying with securities laws in any dealings between them.
12. Webinars and events
Conduct. The conduct rules in section 6 apply at every CASIT webinar and event, online or in person. Hosts may remove anyone who breaks them.
Recording. CASIT will tell attendees before a session begins if it will be recorded, both on the registration or event page and at the start of the session. Where practical, CASIT will offer a way to take part without appearing on a recording, for example by keeping your camera off or asking questions in writing. CASIT does not secretly record sessions, and attendees may not record a session unless the host announces that it is allowed.
Speakers. CASIT records or publishes a speaker’s session, slides or materials only with that speaker’s permission. Speakers keep ownership of their own materials.
Your contributions. Joining a session does not give CASIT broad or permanent rights to your questions, comments or image. If a session you appear in is recorded and published, you can ask CASIT to edit you out of the published recording or remove it where practical by emailing info@casitnetwork.org.
Registration lists. CASIT does not share attendee or registration lists with speakers, sponsors or partners without the attendees’ permission.
Third-party platforms. Webinars may be hosted on third-party platforms that have their own terms and privacy practices (section 15).
13. Company directory
Eligibility. The directory lists companies that meet the published eligibility criteria, which are the same for every company. Every submission is reviewed manually against the same published criteria before anything is published.
Not an endorsement. Listings are informational. A listing is not an endorsement, recommendation, certification or review by CASIT, and CASIT does not verify a company’s products, services, claims, licenses or financial standing.
Equal treatment. Listings are shown alphabetically. No company receives featured, pinned, promoted or sponsored placement. If paid or preferential placement is ever offered, it will be clearly disclosed where it appears.
Your responsibility as a submitter. If you submit a company, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to submit it (for example, as an owner, employee or authorized representative), and that you have the right to share any logo or description you provide.
What is published. Only the company name, category, description, website, location, tags and an approved logo are ever published. Contact details and other information on the form stay internal.
Corrections and removal. Anyone may ask CASIT to correct or remove a listing by emailing info@casitnetwork.org or using the contact form and choosing “Company directory.” CASIT may ask the requester to show they are authorized to speak for the company. CASIT may edit or remove a listing that no longer meets the criteria.
14. Content you submit
Your rights. You keep any rights you have in what you submit. By submitting, you confirm you have the right to submit it.
Limited permission to CASIT. You give CASIT a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, review and use what you submit only as needed to operate CASIT, for example to review your application, arrange an introduction you asked for, or plan a webinar. For an approved directory listing, this includes displaying the published listing fields described in section 13 for as long as the listing is live. This permission ends when the information is deleted, except for copies CASIT must keep by law.
Private submissions stay private. CASIT does not treat form submissions as public content and does not publish them, except for approved directory listings. Ideas you share in a form (such as a topic suggestion) are shared voluntarily; CASIT may plan similar programming without owing you compensation, and does not claim ownership of your idea.
15. Third-party services and links
The site links to websites and may use services that CASIT does not control, including the websites of listed companies and the platforms used to run webinars or events. CASIT is not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
16. CASIT’s name, content and intellectual property
The CASIT name, wordmark, logo and the original content of this site belong to CASIT Network or its licensors. You may share links to the site and quote small portions with attribution. Please do not use the CASIT name or logo in a way that suggests CASIT endorses or partners with you, without written permission.
Other names, logos and trademarks shown on the site, including in the directory, belong to their owners. Their appearance does not mean those owners endorse CASIT.
Copyright and trademark complaints. If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright or trademark, email info@casitnetwork.org with: your contact details, the work or mark concerned, where it appears on the site, and a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized. CASIT will review the complaint and may remove or disable the material.
17. Availability and disclaimers
CASIT is a volunteer-run, founding-stage effort. The site, programs and events are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by applicable law, CASIT does not make warranties about them, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, and does not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded. Where that is the case, those exclusions do not apply to you.
18. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CASIT is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or participation in CASIT programs, or for the acts, advice or omissions of volunteers, speakers, members, listed companies or other third parties.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
19. Your responsibility for your own conduct
If you break these terms or submit information you were not authorized to submit, and a third party brings a claim against CASIT because of it, you agree to be responsible for the reasonable costs that result, to the extent permitted by applicable law. This does not apply to claims caused by CASIT’s own conduct.
20. Disputes and governing law
If you have a concern about CASIT, please contact info@casitnetwork.org first so we can try to resolve it informally.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Texas. These terms do not require arbitration, do not waive your right to a jury trial or to take part in a class action, and do not shorten the time you have to bring a claim.
21. Changes to these terms
CASIT may update these terms. Each version has a version number and a “last updated” date, and earlier versions are kept on record.
- For material changes, CASIT will post a notice on the site in advance and, where you have given CASIT your email address and the law or the change requires it, notify you by email.
- Where required, CASIT will ask you to agree to the updated terms again, for example the next time you submit a form.
- Changes apply going forward only. They do not apply to past events or disputes that arose before the change.
22. General
- Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If CASIT does not enforce part of these terms right away, it can still enforce it later.
- Assignment. CASIT may transfer these terms to a successor or affiliated entity that takes over operation of CASIT or any of its programs, such as a related foundation. You will be notified if that happens. You may not transfer your rights under these terms.
- Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and CASIT about the site. A separate written agreement (for example, a sponsorship or volunteer agreement) controls for its own subject matter.
23. Contact
Questions about these terms: info@casitnetwork.org, or the contact form.
